Windows 10: Permission denied to access folders and no security tab in properties Windows 11

HiI've been going round and round in circles with this laptop where I've got Windows 11 installed for what seems like a lifetime. Whenever I want to access data held on SD cards my access is denied. Everything seems to be pointing towards changing the status on the security tab in properties, only I don't appear to have one. I've followed so many instructions on how to locate the security tab etc. and nothing seems to be working - help, please!Many thanks in advance :

Access denied on windows 7

My friend copied a folder for me through a pendrive and I could copy all of the files
except an application file(exe.) saying that "file access denied"and I require to get permission from the file owner or contact the administrator.

I read the tips on changing ownership but this whole folder does not have a "security" tab in the properties menu. The same goes to the application file itself.

So what can I do now?*Confused
Its frustrating.

Hi,

I were edit Security tab in a folder properties. (I'm Administrator)

I can't open the folder error:

You have been denied permission to access this folder". (To gain access to this folder you will need to use the security tab).

But i cant change owner (System says i haven't got permission)

 

I get 'Access Denied' to folders that show I have access in the folder's Properties/Security tab

Despite all of the suggestions in the Microsoft Community on this recurring issue, I cannot find any way to access folders/files on my own computer. Trying to edit my user account in the folder's Properties/Security tab does not work.... even though I
am an Administrator and it shows I have full permission to access, read, write, etc. the folder.
