Windows 10: Persistent BSOD

I have been trying to track down the cause of a persistent blue screen issue for several weeks now and have been unsuccessful. It initially started as blue screens whenever I would play games on my computer. The stop code was WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, and I could not get my PC to generate a minidump file I triple checked that my settings were all correct; the error info progress at blue screen would just remain at 0% for as long as I left it. I ran MemTest86 to test my RAM, updated Windows, updated BIOS firmware, and updated my graphics card drivers, but this did not fix the problem. I upgra

Ok understood CW. Could it be possible that even though the memory used is in the QVL list for the motherboard that it would still cause BSODs? I don't really feel like futzing with Memtest so would next steps be updating to latest BIOS, installing all RAM and then retesting?

New Wi-Fi card installed but BSOD's persist. For the moment allowing laptop to run 24h and monitoring. Next step would be to try safe mode, per your suggestion. Will solve in time! Thank you @ubuysa *Smile

 

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
