Windows 10: Persistent BSODs after waking from sleep mode; screen freezes ocassionally

Hi there,My Dell 5510 is constantly showing me BSODs, usually after I leave it in sleep mode e.g., stepping away for usually more than 30 minutes or just closing the laptop without turning it off. When I return and start working again, I either get a BSOD or the screen is frozen, and I need to force a shutdown by holding the power button. The BSODs vary, including SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and CACHE_MANAGER, but most often, they are caused by IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.So far, I have done the following:Clean installed Windows 11Updated WindowsUpdated all driversUpdated BIOS/UEFI FirmwareDisable

Windows 10 Anniversary Update freezes at lock screen when waking from sleep

Getting Firefox v48.0.2 was a separate task. It wasn't meant to correct the "freezing" after waking from Sleep mode.

Question: Does the "freezing" persist after waking from Hibernate mode? See

Waking from sleep mode

Hi Kenneth,

For us to narrow down your concern with waking up your computer from sleep mode, we would like to know the following:

• Aside from Windows Update. were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue?
• Is this the first time you experienced the issue?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Send us a screenshot of your screen when you wake up your computer from sleep mode.

system freezes up in sleep mode

system freezes up in sleep mode, one monitor on and the other a sleep. Can not wake up system without hard reboot. Any suggestions?
