    Hey all, I have an issue where my grandmother's desktop has somehow linked with my Microsoft account. When ever she installs a program say Spider Solitaire for example...it installs on my laptop and shows up in my games list on my Xbox. Likewise, if she downlaods a photo of of her Facebook it gets added to my photos file, even when she changes her settings on her desk top, it changes mine. I've sat at her computer digging through absolutely ever thing to try and un-link our devices. What I have found is I am somehow the system admin on her desktop, and her device doesn't show up in "my devic

    Have you tried resetting your browser? If not, we suggest you to do so. To reset Edge, follow these steps:


    • Go to
      Browser Settings.

    • Clear
      Browser Data.

    • Close the browser and launch it again.



    If the issue persist, follow these other steps:


    • Go to
      Task Manager.

    • Click on
      MicrosoftedgeCP.exe

    • End the task.

    I appreciate your efforts in resolving this issue. Let's try the following steps and check if it helps:

    • PressWindows key + W and type troubleshooting.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • ClickHardware and device.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
    • Check if issue persists.
    If the issue persists, I suggest you to uninstall the drivers and reinstall it from the manufacturer website. Follow the below steps:

    Uninstall and reinstall drivers.

    • Press Windows key + R key.
    • Type devmgmt.msc and press
      Enter
      .
    • Locate the malfunctioning device in the list of devices, right-click the device, and then click
      Uninstall. When a warning message appears that you are uninstalling a device from your system, click
      OK. Device manager uninstalls the device.
    • Right-click your computer name in Device Manager and click Scan for hardware changes. Device manager scans your system and automatically reinstalls your device.
    • Right-click the device and click Properties. On the
      General
      tab of the device Properties dialog box, in
      Device status
      , you should see the message This device is working properly.

    Hi,

    My name is Angel. I am an Independent Advisor. Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    Some devices might be listed under hidden devices in Device Manager, I suggest you to open Device Manager then click on View option and click on Show hidden devices. Once it is done, check whether you can find the device.

    As an initial step of troubleshooting, I suggest you to try connecting the device with other USB ports and check if it is detected (If you are connecting through USB).

    Also, try updating the USB drivers and check if it helps. Follow the below steps.

    -Open Device Manager.

    -Find and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.

    -Right-click on each driver listed and click on Update Driver Software

    -Restart the system after updating the drivers.

    -Try connecting the device and check if the issue still persists.
