Windows 10: Persistent DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE blue screens on Windows 11

I've finally reached my limit in trying to debug this myself, and am reaching out to the community on this one for support. Ever since I upgraded my machine to Windows 11, I've been getting fairly regular blue screens for DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE errors. They're almost all reported to be in ntoskrnl.exe, with a small number in afd.sys. I can't pin it to any one activity I do on the machine either. Sometimes it will crash during games, sometimes it will crash when I've stepped away from my computer for a bit.The system having issues:ASRock B650 Taichi, with the latest BIOS released last weekA

Blue Screen: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

I restart my computer and as I restart it I got a blue screen with the stop code DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and I just installed the newest version of Nvidia for my GPU

It is a persistent blue screen. It won’t go away and I don’t want to force shut down in case I break something

GPU- RTX 2080

CPU- I7.9750

However, please let us know:

• When exactly do you receive the Blue Screen error?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

I have tried to access the link for dump files shared by you. However, I was unable to access the link. I would suggest you to upload the files in OneDrive and share the link.



The DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error occurs when the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. You may want to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the Remarks section of the
article Bug Check 0x9F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
and see if that helps.



Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting
from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

would like to know more about the issue. Please clarify the following:

• Did you get a STOP code?
• Did you install any hardware or driver recently?
