  1. Persistent game crashes due to dcom error 10016

Hi all, Ive been running into persistent game crashes on my new PC. Ive tried following tutorials to change dcom permissions etc, ive used DDU to wipe and reinstall graphics drivers. Ive even turned off dcom in the settings. I keep thinking the problem might be fixed but then it crashes again with the same or similar error message. The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} and A

  3. Dcom error 10016

    Hi Eric,

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

10016 is present on all computers and not related to computer crashing.

DCOM event ID 10016 is logged in Windows

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/w...

These events can be safely ignored because they don't adversely affect functionality and are by design. It's the recommend action for these events.

When you say crash, is it a random reboot or a Blue screen of death?

  4. Persistent game crashes due to dcom error 10016

Computer rebooting/crashing everytime I load a game (10016 DCOM Error, Firewall maybe?)

Before, I've had no problems with this computer. Now, everytime I load up a game (specifically on Steam) I crash within 5 minutes. This problem has persisted for over a month now and is getting extremely frustrating, I have replaced the motherboard, reseated
RAM, replaced RAM, replaced other components, checked Windows Defender if it was functioning and now I see on the event viewer tons of "Error 10016" concerning DCOM and permissions. I don't know the symptons of the error 10016 nor if my firewall is actually
causing a fullscale crash and reboot which I doubt but I haven't ruled it out as a possibility yet.
