  1. Persistent issue: My mouse cursor moved on its own.

I use a 'Windows 10 Home 64 bit OS' on a 'Dell Inspiron 7373', touch screen laptop. The problem is that my mouse cursor moves to the top right part of the screen on its own. This is a persistent issue and leads to great difficulty while working apart from being extremely annoying. Several times this has led to the window getting closed suddenly. This happens when I am using the mouse touchpad and also when I use a wired mouse. Windows support engineers previously suggested me to uninstall mouse drivers and restart the PC. But this no longer helps. I have noticed that this issue only worsens af

  2. Mouse Cursor Moving Spontaneously

    Hey All,

I have an MSI GE72 2QD Apache Pro laptop with Windows 10 64-Bit OS. I use a wireless Logitech M510 mouse.

My problem is that my mouse cursor will move spontaneously at different times and start randomly clicking on things. Super annoying.

Things I have done to try to revert the issue:

    • Made sure my drivers for both the touchpad and wireless mouse were fully updated.
    • Rolled-back the drivers to see if that would fix the problem.
    • Completely uninstalled the drivers and then reinstalled them.
    • Disabled the touchpad, which does work, but I don't want to keep it this way.
Since disabling the touchpad is the only thing that seems to work, I am thinking it has something to do with that.

Any suggestions or tips that might resolve this issue?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Mouse/Cursor issue

Hello, I followed your instructions, it did help some, however, I'm still having problems with the dialog box and the mouse.

The mouse doesn't disappear, but I have to keep it in the box in order to write in the box. If I'm trying to write in a search dialog box, I cannot move the mouse/cursor down to a suggested pull down suggestion without losing everything. So if I type
say, BOS and the dropdown suggests BOSTON, I cannot moved down to select without the dropdown box going away. I have to click in the box in order to finish spelling the word with the cursor being in the box or at least at the same level. Very frustrating

    Hi Robert,
    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
    1. Have you started facing this issue recently?

    2. If yes, do you remember making any hardware or software changes to the computer?
It appears that you have a mouse setting set to 'hide pointer while typing'. Try to change the settings and check if it helps.
To change this setting back, follow these steps.

    a. Open
    Control Panel
    .

    b. In View by: Large icon view, click on Mouse.
    c. Click the Pointer options tab and uncheck
    Hide pointer while typing.
    d. Click on Apply and check the issue.
Let us know if it helps. If the issue persists, we will be happy to assist you further.

Cursor moving down the page without any mouse input

I thought I was having an issue with my mouse, but after conducting troubleshooting steps from the manufacturer, it could be another problem. Recently my cursor started moving down the page without any input from my mouse. When I disconnected the mouse from the computer the cursor would still move slowly down the page. What could be the issue?
