Persistent issue with Windows 11 wireless network and display adapter.

I haven't found a solution for my problems with the Intel® UHD Graphics Display Adapter and Wireless Network Adapter for several months. It should be clarified that it all started after adjusting the BIOS settings in search of improving the machine's performance. There were no previous issues until I made these changes. I've tried everything from formatting the operating system to fully reinstalling it, rebooting the BIOS, searching for log files, and even attempting to install Kali Linux to see if the problem lay with the operating system. However, it didn't even start. To avoid confusion, it

How to resolve networking issue that persists across different networks and wireless adapters?

For the last couple years, I have experienced the following issue: when I attempt to connect to Wifi, my wireless network adapter connects momentarily and then immediately restarts. During the restart, it briefly shows as disabled in the "Network Connections" control panel tab, and all wireless connections in Network & Internet Settings disappear. After a few seconds, it reconnects, but will only successfully connect to 2.4GHz networks, not 5GHz ones.

I have already tried the following:

    • Running the Windows diagnostic
    • Updating Windows
    • Updating the drivers for the network adapter
    • Rolling back the drivers on my wireless network adapter to a previous version
    • Resetting my wireless network adapter manually by disabling and then enabling it in Network Connections
    • Flushing my DNS and release/renewing ipconfig
    • Uninstalling the network adapter in Device Manager then rebooting
    • Performing a Network Reset
    • Connecting to a different WiFi Network, to verify the issue is not with the router
    • Buying and installing a newer wireless network adapter from a different brand

As the issue is not tied to the Wireless Network Adapter hardware, and persists when connecting to other routers, I believe the source must be in either the OS or a component other than the wireless network adapter itself.

I am not certain that the issue connecting to the 5GHz wifi has the same root cause as the network restarts, but I believe it's the most likely possibility.

    Computer specs are as follows:

    • Windows 10 home, version 10.0.19045
    • Intel i7-6700 Processor
    • 32GB DDR4 RAM
    • ASUS H110M-C Motherboard
    • 3TB storage across three different 1TB drives
    • GTX 1660 Super video card
    • MSI AX1800 Wifi USB Adapter OR D-Link DWA-182 USB Adapter

Issue with connecting Dual monitor with Wireless Display Adapter

    Hi Penny Wells,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I can understand the situation must be difficult for you when things do not work as they should. However, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

    1. What is the make and model of the computer?
    2. What is the model of the TV?

This issue can occur if there is pending firmware update or the issue with the drivers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and let us know about the results:

Method 1: Fix connections to wireless displays or docks.

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the Microsoft article on
Fix connections to wireless displays or docks.

Method 2: Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

If method 1 doesn’t fix the issue, I would suggest you to follow all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the Microsoft article on
    Troubleshooting Wireless
    Display Adapters
refer the steps ‘Having trouble connecting your device to the adapter?’

Note: The above article contains steps regarding Firmware update.
Modifying BIOS settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS
settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

If you would like me to provide additional advice, simply respond to this thread. I will get notified and I’ll reply to you as soon as I can.

    Hope it helps.
