Windows 10: Persistent Laptop Restart Issue

Recently, I've been encountering an issue with my laptop restarting specifically during gaming sessions. This problem doesn't occur during normal usage, but after an automatic restart, my Wi-Fi option disappears during the Windows boot process, preventing internet access. To resolve this, I have to manually reboot the laptop, after which everything returns to normal. I suggest that you perform the steps below and check if issue persist:

Method 1: Network troubleshooting.

• On the search bar type “Troubleshooting”
• Click on “Network and Internet”
• Click on “Network Adapter” and run the troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: Download and install the latest firmware updates for the Wi-Fi adapter

Follow these steps to un-install the drivers:

• On the search bar type “ Device Manager”
• On the left pane locate “Network Adapter” and expand by clicking on it
• Right on the “ Wireless adapter” option and click “Uninstall’
• Download the latest Wireless network adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.

If the issue still persists, install the same driver in compatibility mode and check.

Most programs created for earlier versions of Windows will work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. You can run the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter on most programs to detect
and fix common compatibility problems.

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
