Persistent "Not Responding" Error Messages on MS Word, Excel & Chrome Browser on an HP Win 10 Laptop



Friends,



I am persistently receiving "Not Responding" error messages when using MS Word and Excel as well as Chrome browser on my laptop the Word & Excel files reside on my hard drive. This issue is leading a major loss of time and productivity. Thank you for your help - I want to identify and resolve the root cause.



HP Laptop: Purchased in 2019



Hard drive: 1 TB 50+ GB used



RAM: 4 GB



OS: Win 10 all Updates added



Software - Chrome and MS Word and Excel: All up-to-date



Internet: Via my SP Consumer Cellular connection is good, not great



A/V: McAfee - Multiple scans run; no issues found



Any suggestions on how I might resolve whatever the root cause?



My default assumption which may be right or wrong is to simply add a bigger RAM Card e.g. 20 GB.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing with access the browser with error:
Shockwave Pulgin not responding, we will help you with this issue.

Do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Have you have tried to installed the flash player as suggested in the previous reply?
• Does the same issue persists on Microsoft Edge as well?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?

Step 1: As you are facing issues with Internet Explorer, I suggest you to Reset Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

Change or reset Internet Explorer settings

Step 2: For issues with Google Chrome, I suggest you to uninstall the browser from Programs and features and reinstall it from the website. Check if it helps.

  Press Windows + x key to open a task list from the bottom left corner of the screen.

  Select Programs and Features.
  
• 
  Right click on Google Chrome
  and select uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions.

PgUp PgDn or up/dn arrows do not respond in MS edge - yet in chrome, excel or MS words it responds

The PgUp or PgDn or up/dn arrows do not respond on Edge upon launching the start page.

However, if I use chrome to access web pages it response so quickly. Same in Excel or Word.

Its so annoying that every time you access web pages in edge you have to first move the cursor to the scrolling up/dn bar on the right side of the screen before you can then use up/dn arrows or keys. Tried different web pages using Edge as browser, same
problem same work-around

The PC am using is a brand new Lenovo ThinkPad E550 i7 Intel core (bought Augt 15) with pre installed windows 10 (not an upgraded one fr either Win 7 Pro or Win 8.1)

Is there a solution on this?

 

microsoft word 2003

I have a lot of ms word files on my pc. But one of them showed me an error - Getting unknown error messages while opening (.doc) or (.docx) files. I don't know how to open my word file or repair microsoft word. Any suggestions, guys, please.
