Windows 10: personal newsfeed added to taskbar after update in wrong language

Hi, after a recent update to my Windows10 a new symbol was added to the right hand side of my taskbar which looks to be some sort of personalised news feed with weather, finance etc, but it is all in Chinese text with Chinese stories. How do I change it to English UK? I have tried clicking on the cogwheel and the . . . symbols but cannot understand any of the options as they are all in Chinese. I have tried right clicking the page but the 'translate to English' option is greyed out. All my location settings are correct for everything else when I check so it's just this newsfeed that is wrong

Use Cmd Prompt /PowerShell in Admin Mode

View your language list with :- Get-WinUserLanguageList

Add a New Language:- New-WinUserLanguageList en-GB

Set New Language:- Set-WinUserLanguageList en-GB

 

Random language keeps adding to my language bar

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that a random language gets added
automatically. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• 
  May I know the language that gets added?
  
• 
  Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

If you have not tried the lpksetup command, I would suggest you to give it a try and see if that helps. Refer
the steps mentioned below:

1. 
   Press and hold
   Windows logo key + R, to open Run dialog box.
   
2. 
   Type
   lpksetup and click on OK.
   
3. 
   Now, select
   Uninstall display language.
   
4. 
   Select the language that you want to uninstall and click on
   Next.

Missing input language options on a taskbar in the secondary monitor

2. Since when are you facing this issue?
   

I can understand the inconvenience you are facing with the missing Input language on your secondary monitor. Here are the few settings troubleshooting steps which you can try to fix the issue.

Step 1

Check for Updates

Click on
Start button, select Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update
and select check for updates.

If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.

Step 2

1. Press Windows +
   I key > Personalization > Taskbar.
   
2. Turn
   On show taskbar on all displays under “Multiple displays”.
   

Step 3

1. Press Windows +
   I key > Personalization > Taskbar.
   
2. Scroll down and click on
   Turn system icons on or off under Notification area.
   
3. Enable (Turn On) the
   Input Indicator and check the status of the issue.
