Windows 10: Personal Vault folder

Hi there,This question relates to a personal vault folder. THe other night , i was going to open the folder, but it actually prompted me to create one. I was pretty tired and without thinking i went through that process, so i now had 2 folders. I didn't think this was possible, but on another device, i managed to move everything out of my original personal folder. At first i thought maybe some sort of hacking ?Anyway currently, my original folder is empty as i moved the files out of there. And there is just the one folder that i can see .I'm wondering how the above could happen ?Also,

I already did that. A couple of times. Most recently, as follow-on steps to your recommendation to delete my Personal Vault permanantly:

1. Followed your steps to permanently delete Personal Vault on OneDrive web
   
2. On my laptop:
   
   1. Disabled OneDrive backups
      
   2. Unlink this PC
      
   3. Uninstalled OneDrive application
      
   4. Deleted OneDrive folder
      
   5. Rebooted
      
   6. Reinstalled OneDrive
      
   7. Logged back in and retried Personal Vault - same error

The Personal Vault in your OneDrive folder on the PC is considered a folder shortcut to the Personal Vault on your online OneDrive (cloud). A shortcut is treated like a file for how it's listed.

 

What is the point of Personal Vault?

Yes, I'm talking about Onedrive. I don't know what is a "2FA method".

It's not the Personal Vault folder that is visible but files within it. All the files in the Personal Vault are listed in Explorer. If I delete them out of Explorer, they get deleted out of the Personal Vault even if the Vault is locked.
