    Personal Vault has disappeared from Desktop Shortcut


    A work technician has interfered with my PC and now when I open my personal OneDrive on my desktop, the Personal Vault shortcut to unlock the Windows folder has disappeared.I run two OneDrive accounts on this machine - work and personal. Before the ‘help’ I could see my Personal Vault here and unlock it. Now there is no unlock command. Can anyone please please please help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, disconnected accounts and reconnected accounts but nothing is workingHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!!

    Desktop shortcuts disappearing

    One of the computers i maintain has a few of the desktop shortcuts disappearing now and then. It runs windows 7, and has a shitload of shortcuts on the desktop.

    Any idea what might cause this?

    OneDrive personal vault deleted

    The Personal Vault in your OneDrive folder on the PC is considered a folder shortcut to the Personal Vault on your online OneDrive (cloud). A shortcut is treated like a file for how it's listed.

    If you go online to your OneDrive account and click to delete this Personal Vault Folder it will say you can't, however it will give instructions on how you can hide it.

    It then takes you through a couple "Are you sure? 'Y/N' " dialogs before it will disappear in the browser, later starting the desktop app it then disappeared for me.

    I could not agree more.

    "If you are using OneDrive’s free or standalone 100 GB plan, you can try Personal Vault with a limited number of files. Office 365 subscribers can store as many files as they want in Personal Vault, up to their storage limit."
