    Personalisation: Why is 'set for monitor 2' the only background option available


    I have a dual monitor setup using 2 display ports from an Intel Arc A770 graphics card driver fully up to date. Display is set to Extended Mode, with taskbar as required, only shown on monitor 1. Monitors detect correctly. I'm using fully updated Windows 11 22H2 22621.1344. I can only select the same wallpaper for both monitors though because right-clicking a recent picture in Personalisation -> Background always gives 'set for both' and then the 'set for monitor 2' option... twice i.e no set for monitor 1 optionI have an image I would have uploaded here but upload fails continually ..

    Background Personalisation

    I have created my own Slideshow for Background in the Personalisation options.

    Change Picture Every 1 minute is the fastest option available.

    The frequency of change on Windows 8.1 could be set to 10 or 20 seconds.

    How can I increase the Change Picture speed please?

    I am using two monitors.

    Hi Mohammed,

    Network permissions is one of the possible reasons why
    setting an image as a desktop background     on both of your monitors
    disappeared on the list of options    . To better assist you, we need the answers to the following questions:

    • Is your computer connected to a domain?
    • Aside from changing your desktop background, did you make any changes or
      installed a Windows update prior to this issue?

    In the meantime, we suggest creating a new user account and see if the same issue will occur while logged in to a different user profile. To do this, simply follow the steps in

    Personalisation: Why is 'set for monitor 2' the only background option available

    (4K DP, 1440p DP, 1200p DVI-D) Triple monitor setup; 2 monitors have the same background when background is set to slideshow shuffle

    My setup:

    • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770
    • GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition, fully updated drivers
    • OS: Windows 10 Pro v1803, fully patched

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Connect the monitors as in the title
    2. Set wallpaper background to shuffle in Windows Settings

    What happens:

    2 of the monitors (always adjacent to each other) have the same background.

    What should happen:

    All 3 monitors should have different backgrounds.

    Anyone ever seen this before? Any ideas?
