Windows 10: Personalization > Background > Picture > Choose a fit > Center. Not working!

New laptop, Win 10 Pro. As the title say. How many times I tried to make the image/picture stock from MS, not mine to be in the center of screen, yet this option doesn't seem to be working.


What's the cause of this, the fix?


*All system, apps, everything is Updated.

Background pictures

Go to settings > Personalization> background > select the picture click on the box underneath Choose a fit to choose between fill, or fit options for your background.

Hi Joe,

You can change how a background picture is showed on the desktop by changing the fit. Here's how:

• Go to Start > Settings > Personalization
  > Background.
• Click the drop-down menu for Choose a fit and then select which fit best suits your preference.

Photos from my photo folder are not showing up for personalization of background

Open Start > Settings > Personalization > Background

Click in the Background list box then choose Picture

Click Browse

Navigate to the folder where the images are located, then click choose a picture

Click Choose Picture

You can only choose a picture one at a time.

If you want all the Pictures to be available, you will have to click in the Background list box, choose Slideshow

Click Browse under Choose albums for your slideshow

Navigate to the folder where the images are located, select the folder containing the pictures, then click choose this folder

Your pictures will automatically display in a slide show

You can modify how long each picture is on screen, shuffle, and choose fit.
