Windows 10: personalization

What a nightmare!


I am so used to the ease with which I could access the control panel, on Windows 7, and change my backgrounds, as well as how long my selected pictures stayed, even minimize, on the screen.


Now, I am using Windows 10 and I dont even understand WHAT the machine is asking, when it asks questions.


Probably, this is because I never took computer programming classes. I am just a typist, who writes short story fiction.


This is why I ask that all replies be in HUMAN English not computer code.


I want to know how to modify my windows 10 background, and how to tell the computer that **I** want to set the amount of time that selected photos will remain on my desktop.


What a nightmare. I wish I had Windows 7 back.


Any suggestions, on solving Window2s 10 problems?

Settings/Personalization

Hi,

We suggest that you follow the steps below to put your settings back to default and see if it helps.

• Right-click your mouse on your desktop.
• Click on Personalize.
• Select Colors.
• Click on High contrast settings.
• From the drop-down menu, select None.
• Click Apply.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

 

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
