Windows 10: Phonak ComPilot problem on pc

I am having problems hearing audio on my pc with my Compliot Air. It works on my iphone and ipad but not my HP pc. It was working on the pc until 2 days ago. The pc still sees the device and picks it up as a device in applications such as dragon dictate. It also stops producing audio form its own speakers, so seems to be sending the audio signal somewhere.

Will the windows phone 8 support the Phonak Compilot via bluetooth?

I have the Phonak hearing aids and the ComPilot. I can personally attest that the windows phone 8 (Lumia 920) works very well with the ComPilot.

I have tried the ComPilot with a Galaxy S3 and an iPhone. I prefer the connection between the Windows Phone 8 and the ComPilot. The only hinderance is the amount of contacts you can have sync to the ComPilot. Yesterday, I tried to sync all my home and business
contacts with it (around 300 contacts). You loose the Caller Name ID when you get above a certain number. I believe this is a ComPilot storage issue.

I will be getting a new hearing aid from Phonak and a Bluetooth accessory such as the Phonak Compilot which will allow me to answer and make calls hands free without ever taking out my hearing aid again. It uses the 2.0 Bluethooth profile. Thanks!

I too use the Phonak hearing aid and the ComPilot Bluetooth device linked to a Nokia Lumia 1020. The combination works very well in either direct wire connect or via Bluetooth wireless. The caller ID voice notification is somewhat quirky and may require
some manual edits of your phone books when duplicate entries exist and syncing to multiple PCs.

The only issue I've run across is when using a 3rd party Bluetooth 4.0 dongle with a laptop (Windows 8.1) for audio output to the ComPilot. This combination works fine for the initial installation of the dongle drivers and for the first boot after the initial
use. All subsequent use of the ComPilot with the laptop dongle result in not being able to connect the ComPilot to the laptop. The only way to establish a connection is to uninstall the dongle software & drivers, reboot, reinstall and the drivers.

It is most likely that this is an issue with the USB dongle or its associated drivers which are not currently listed as compatible with Windows 8/8.1.
