    Phone call on anti-virus software and renewal cost. Scam or not?


    I have been contacted by a very hard to understand group of Indian people saying I am going to be charged for $299+ for Microsoft anti-virus program on my computer if I do not let them via TeamViewer 14 help me remove it from my computer. I do not show any purchase in March of 2018 for this program nor do I find it on my computer. I am wanting to know if this is a computer as when I asked for more details they hesitated or repeated themselves. I also have several computers and he could not provide serial # of which one supposedly had this software. I was given a main point of contact, his phone number, and his code number. I am wanting to know if this is a scam? Please as I cannot afford any type of charges. Thank you, Karen D.

    Any suggestions for a anti virus software ?


    There are so many anti viruses in the market. The last one I used was Nod32. It was on windows 8 pro.
    Now on windows 10 I didn't decide yet what to use if at all. Should I have any anti virus software on the pc ? Is the defender built in windows is good enough ? When I google for top anti virus software the first link is 2016/2017 best anti virus softwares by pcmag. The first one in the list is mcafee plus 2016.

    There are so many products and I know that some of them make problems with other applications some not working good yet with windows 10 some better more or less. After all they are costing money so it's a bit mess.

    I have a nokia n 70 with symantec anti virus software that has expired and i do not want to renew it how do i get rid of it can anybody help please
