Windows 10: Phone Link App does not open/start; multiple Termination/Repair/Resets have had no effect....

When clicked on the timer icon shows for about a second - so it looks like some software is unavailable; I suspect this followed deletion of the older LCU package; so practically the question is: Is there some way to reinstate the App. or is it likely to return with the next Cumulative update; it can't be deleted and it isn't in the Microsoft store?

I have already tried these steps, and just tried again now.

I additionally tried to run Repair as well as Reset, but the App still does not run.

I had seen the post from the link you sent here, but found this not very useful, as some of the instructions suggested do not seem to exist on my Windows edition, and also require the App to open to get to the suggestions listed, which I am unable to do.

Just to clarify, I am running Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2.

Open the Settings App, then go to Apps - Installed Apps.

Scroll down the list to find the Phone Link app.

Select that app and choose Advanced Options.

Run the Repair option and then the Reset option

Then check if the Phone Link app is working.

 

My Phone Link app doesn't work. I've tried "repair" and "reset" but to no avail.

Try uninstalling the app through terminal via these steps :

Right click on the start button and click on terminal (admin)

Enter this command and press enter key

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.YourPhone -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage

This will uninstall the phone link app

Reinstall the app from Microsoft store after this.
