Windows 10: Phone link App to send a text to a number that is not in my contacts list

Using the Phone link App, can I send a message to a number that is not in my contacts list. So I just want to type the phone number of someone I have an appointment with that I don't want to add to my contacts as a one off.

The contact list shows the name on the left and an indicator on the right, h, m, txt, which is the last method I used to contact the contact; h for home number, m for mobile, txt for text etc. Later when I click on the contact it assumes I want to use the same
method.

The problem happens when I text person A, call person B and then want to call person A. After I texted person A the right side of his contract in the list changed to "txt". When I want to call person A later using the contact list, and I put the curser on his
name and hit the phone key it won't call person A, instead it will redial the last number and will call person B.

I of course can call person A by drilling down through the contact list to the contact details, and selecting phone number; and there are other ways to call. But my question is:
is there a setting that forces the right side of the contact list to default to a phone number even after I text someone?

Unless someone else has found a different way, all I do is copy the mobile2 number and go to messaging and add a new text message and paste the mobile2 number. So, suggest putting in as a feature request.

 

sending text message, lists contact twice

yesterday the strangest thing happened when I tried to send a text, some numbers were being formatted incorrectly with a +44 and 0 before the number, I checked my address book and the contact was correctly listed as +44number. My wife said skype causes her
lots of issues with contacts and suggested uninstalling; I did that and texting worked as expected.

This morning, my phone deleted all my contacts, I found that when I tried to send a text, after looking at my email inbox I realised an update must have occurred as I was shown the 'focused/other' message. I went back into the address book and the contacts
started to be reinstated, I could see them trickle in as the WiFi flashed.

Great I thought, contacts shown twice problem gone, alas not though. I still have not reset to factory issue as I don't believe it will help and my phone is setup. This double listing of contacts is a very weird one and although skype is still not installed
I think the issue is being influenced by it.
