Windows 10: Phone Link app virtual keyboard closes while typing with physical keyboard

Hello,I’m encountering an issue with the Phone Link app on my Windows 11 PC.I use the app to run Slack, and since the latest update in December 2024, I’ve been unable to type messages properly.Here’s what happens: when I tap on the text field in the app, the virtual keyboard opens. However, when I start typing with my physical PC keyboard, the virtual keyboard closes unexpectedly, preventing me from continuing to type.This issue didn’t occur before the December update, and everything worked smoothly until then.Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this?Thank you in advance for your ass

No virtual keyboard in tablet mode with a physical keyboard attached

Clean installs of Windows 10 on either a Surface w/Keyboard or an Ultrabook (doesn't matter what kind test this in a store with multiple Surfaces or Ultrabooks same thing on all devices). When you place the device in tablet mode the virtual keyboard is
not available which makes the device completely useless. This is not a device or corrupt Windows install this is a clean install of Windows 10 and appears to be a design bug or flaw so reinstalling windows does not fix the issue. It is not related to a
certain device either as this can be replicated on several different machine types as long as they have a physical keyboard attached. On a surface if you remove the physical keyboard and put it in tablet mode the virtual keyboard appears but if you leave
it connected you cannot work in tablet mode. Is there a Windows 10 patch to fix this issue?

 

E7 virtual keyboard not working

I got my E7 yesterday and encountered a problem today. When I try to write an sms or email on the virtual keyboard (phone slide closed in portrait format), the screen is not responsive at all. The screen is responsive when I press the "write message" icon
on the homescreen, I can press any icon etc. and the phone works. Only when I open the virtual keyboard, does it stop responding. Only way out of the screen is to press the physical key on the bottom of the phone.



Anyone else encountered this? Could there be some weird setting that prevents me from using the virtual keyboard? The physical keyboard works fine.

If your computer comes with a touch screen or a mouse, you can access the virtual keyboard at the login screen:

• Click the Ease of Access icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
• Select "On-screen Keyboard" from the menu.
