Windows 10: Phone Link appears briefly after clicking the shortcut then vanishes unless I run it in...

When I click the Phone Link shortcut to run it, The opening dialog appears briefly, then vanishes, leaving an icon in the notification area that stays there until I get the cursor almost all the way to it, but it vanishes just before I can click on the notification area icon, every time. If I right click the Phone Link icon and use the "Run as administrator" option, Phone Link runs and works as it should. You can't check the "Run as administrator" option in the shortcut properties dialog, and besides, one should not have to do that. The option for "Run in background" is on. I've done

• Which Windows version currently running on your phone?
• What are the troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Stop Windows 10 from asking to link phone to computer

Besides Group Policy, what other ways have you tried ?
Do you utilize Shared experiences, Share across devices ?

Unlink your phone from your PC running Windows 10, use these steps:

• Open Settings.
• Click on Phone.
• Click the Unlink this PC option. Unlink your phone from computer.
• Click the Home button.
• Click on Devices.
• Click on Bluetooth & other devices.
• Select your phone.
• Click the Remove device button.

 

N95: Vanishing Gmail Shortcut

[N95-1, latest firmware (V30)]

I've built a mailbox for my Gmail account, and I've assigned it the left selection key shortcut. After a certain amount of (idle?) time, the shortcut simply disappears. The key still works, only the shortcut ain't there no mo'. Re-assigning it brings the shortcut
back, only to disappear after a while, and so on and so forth...

Tried switching to the right selection key shortcut, with the same results. For the life of me, I just can't tell when this happens. So far it looks completely random. Last night, for example, it was there when I shut off my phone. I then connected the charger,
and went to sleep. When I woke up this morning and turned the handset on, the Gmail shortcut was gone. Had to re-assign it. Very frustrating.

Anybody in the same boat? Suggestions? Is that a bug or a "feature"?
