Windows 10: Phone Link Can't Run Apps with a Google Phone

Who would have thought that Phone Link would work better with a Samsung phone than with a Google Pixel? Sad to say, it's true. Phone Link does not support the amazing capability that I loved with my Galaxy to be able to run my phone apps on my PC. I hope you can change this. You would think that a phone made by the company that made Android would be able to do everything a rival phone can do.

Google Announces Phone OS

To tell you the truth, don't have high hopes for this suppose new OS. My guessing is that its just gonna reroute your phone's browser to Google. And then Google will utilize small apps preloaded on the phone (such as gmail, google maps, etc...apps that you can download right now) and text/media messaging so that you can interact between Google and the phone on the fly.

 

Phone Link vs Samsung Flow vs Samsung Dex?

I found out about the problem when I ran games on the phone using Phone Link. Assuming that the PC is connected to the phone with Phone link On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:

• Calls = Enabled
• Audio = Not available

However, on the PC if you run Bluetooth Audio Receiver and open a connection to the phone then On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:

• Calls = Enabled
• Audio = Enabled
