Windows 10: Phone Link connection to "Link to Windows" now not working after years just fine. Help!

My Win 11 computer and Android Galaxy s22 have been connected with "Phone Link" and "Link to Windows" for quite some time and I love the convenience of copying info back and forth between the two clipboards. But all of a sudden last week, it just wouldn't connect.My ethernet to the PC is hard wired, but the computer does have wifi and as you can see in the images below, it is set to the wifi called milo-5G .You can see from the screen prints that my phone and computer both show being connected to the wifi called milo-5G.The second shows that LinkToWindows on the phone is turned on.Out of the

Your Phone App - Link to Windows not working

Has anyone found the secret to getting the Your Phone - Link to Windows App working correctly? Looking at the number of posts in other forums saying they have problems there is clearly a major issue with this App. It's a pity because it used to work quite well before recent Windows updates. Basically my phone (Samsung A515) will connect to Your Phone on my PC and I can see the headers of Notifications on my PC. If I try to read Messages or access Photos or open Desktop Apps it says I need permissions and asks me to click on a link to send a permission request to my phone. It never arrives. I don't see any permission request. Also it doesn't say what permissions are missing nor how to enable them. The response from MS is always to ensure that your phone and PC Apps are at the latest version (they are). I suspect there is a major bug in this App, yet others seem to suggest that it does work. Hopelessly confused. Winver: 21H1 19043 1237.

 

Windows Phone Link - Messages Send Notification not working

Yes, the laptop is listed as a connected device. The basic connection/link appears intact.

That video must be old (it calls the PC app "Your Phone" rather than "Phone Link" for a start), and in the video at 01:44 the button is called "Open Settings on Phone" rather than "Send Notification", so the demonstration here seems to work a bit differently. Nonetheless, that shows the exact step in the process that doesn't work for me. All the stuff beforehand succeeds smoothly. All the stuff after that works fine too.

Phone Link not connecting to new phone, worked with old phone - phones are same make/model

I have connected to Windows 10 Phone Link with my Android Phone BB Key2 (Android version 8.1) for a year or more. Had to replace my phone and bought the same make/model. Now I cannot get the Phone LInk to connect - it does not advance past the Pair Devices stage. The phone scans the QR code and indicates it is connected, but Windows does not move to the next stage and is not connected. Tried all the troubleshooting suggestions - still does not work.
