Windows 10: Phone Link - cool idea and very nice app but unfortunately next to useless :-

In principle I like the new Phone Link app a lot. The ability to see the phone's screen and use its apps on the laptop or use the laptop's keyboard to text and for entry into phone apps would be brillant. I would like to use it much more! But unfortunately it is next to useless because practically each and every time I want to use it e.g. when I hear my phone pinging me and want to have a look what's on its screen I am prompted with "We need permission to display your mobile screen". :- I then first need to walk over and pick up my phone and have to click the "Start now" button. "All apps" Button not working - Where are links stored?


At some point my "All apps" button has stopped working. Clicking on it causes the apps list to flash very very briefly then dumps me back to home screen. Everything else seems to work OK.
Anyone know where the links in that list of apps is stored? I'm thinking one of the links is broken causing the whole list to shut down, and if I remove links from the list one by one I can find it. That's the only thing I can think to try.
Unfortunately no restore points exist and Repair tools like Startup Repair Etc. does not help.
Any other Ideas / Suggestions would also be greatly appreciated.

The coolest phone ever would have been N8 with 4GB processor , 64GB memory and 60 MP camera... sold for $400.-500

if we had all of this in Symbian and WP is still catching up was Symbian dead ?
