Windows 10: Phone Link for iPhone 13 not available in UK?

New laptop Windows 11 Pro. iPhone 13 - latest iOS.Connects via blue tooth OK - phone not found by Phone Link. Is iPhone via Phone Link not available in UK?

iPhone 13 Not Connecting To Windows 11 Phone Link

iPhone 13 running iOS 16.4.1 (16.5 as of today)

Dell G7 7588 (2017) Intel Core i7-8750H & BlueTooth LE v4.0

Windows 11 Pro (Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621)

Phone Link version 1.23012.196.0

The first attempt, my Windows 11 PC disconnected from the iPhone after allowing the "Link to Windows" app (that the QR Code sent me to) to access BlueTooth. Bothe sides originally presented the same 6-digit code, and I selected allow from both deveices. Then, they both showed connecting until I stopped it some 20 minutes later.

. Since that attempt, I have not been able to get the Windows 11 PC to acknowledge it is connecting to the iPhone 13 while the iPhone gets stuck waiting to connect.

. I have tried removing the bluetooth connections and reestablishing them, Rebooting both devices, and installing the just-released iOS 16.5 and repeating these options.

Any ideas on what I may have missed? Am I out of luck, at least for the time being?

Based on your description, we understand that you are having issues in connecting and setting up Phone Link on your Surface Pro 7 and iPhone 13 ProMax where it would just sit and stuck on the connecting phase. Let us work together in troubleshooting to and get this sorted out.

What Windows version, edition and OS build is your Surface Pro 7 running on? To check, go to Windows Settings > System > About then check under Windows specifications section.

Are both devices connected to the same network?

First, may I know how are you trying to connect both devices with Phone Link? Is it by scanning the QR code? Please check this page and make sure to follow the steps provided: Phone Link app requirements and setup - Microsoft Support

1. Find the Phone Link app in your Start menu. (You can also search for this)
   
2. Open the app. Under Pick your phone, select iPhone®. If this is greyed out, your PC’s Bluetooth may be turned off or is not yet available yet.
   
3. Follow the step-by-step pairing instructions.
   
4. Scan the QR code presented on your PC with your iPhone®'s default camera. This will initiate Bluetooth pairing.
   
5. Make sure you grant permissions on your iPhone® to sync your messages, notifications, and contacts to your PC. See below on how to do this.
   

If issue persists, do you have any third-party antivirus installed on the Surface? If yes, please try disabling it first then try connecting again.

Please try also to run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit on the device to run some system checks and repairs then check for updates again in Windows Settings > Updates& Security to make sure all updates are installed including Optional updates. Phone Link with iPhone, currently no Bluetooth

Hi all,

I was very much looking forward using Phone Link now that I got myself to update to Win 11.

Unfortunately, my PC doesn't support Bluetooth. Hence following questions:

Is there...

1. an update coming where iPhone are able to pair via Wifi?
   
2. a possibility to connect the iPhone via USB / Tethering?
   
3. a way to solely receive and write messages via Windows on my iPhone, with no Bluetooth connection required?
   

If all of this is a no, what would be the easiest way to retrofit Bluetooth? Would any 3rd party USB Bluetooth adapter be sufficient? If so, could you suggest/recommend one?
