Windows 10: Phone Link Messages stuck refreshing

Phone Link works fine on everything except Messages frequently gets suck "Refreshing" with the spinning blue circle. I can use Call, Apps, and Photos, and my Android phone's messaging app works just fine itself. Everything except Phone Link Messages. Sometimes if I go to another section like Calls then go back to Messages, the spinning blue circle is even frozen too. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled everything, rebooted etc. Anyone else having this problem?

remove the current registered phone on your Windows 10 device then
re-add it once again. In that way, it will refresh its setup and it should be connected smoothly on your computer. Here are the steps:

• On your computer, select the

  Phone .
• Select Add a phone, then enter your phone number and select
  Send.
• Look for a text message from Microsoft on your phone. Once you receive the text,
  open it and tap the link.
• The link will open the App Store (on iPhones) or the
  Google Play Store (on Android phones) to a Microsoft application that links your phone and computer.
  Install the application.
• Once it's installed, open the application and follow the instructions to try out your first cross-device experience.

Your phone app - gets stuck "refreshing"

No offence but I think you may have misunderstood what is happening?

I have "your phone companion" on my Android phone, and "Your Phone" running on my Windows 10 PC. When I have the "your phone" app open on my PC, it usually gets push notifications when I get text messages on my phone. If for any reason my phone is off,
or on night time mode for example, the "your phone" app on the PC will refresh itself just to catch up with any messages it may have missed.

It usually refreshes for a couple of minutes at most. If my phone is off for example it will try to refresh and then say it couldn't connect to my phone.

Instead, whenever I start up the app on my PC, it starts refreshing immediately, and won't stop. Even if you close it down and re-open it, it carries on refreshing, and gets stuck, so won't actually connect to my phone at all. The app simply stays stuck
in a loop and you can't do anything with it.
