Phone Link mutes audio on video or other app when phone is in use - not in use through the computer - just in use. This is a deal breaker. I thought, wow, Microsoft came out with something handy... Please memo the patch team about fixing this issue. If there is an actual fix that has not been listed before, as all similar queries were answered with '... run the troubleshooter' - the problem being there is not a 'trouble' to aim at, the Phone Link app is preforming exactly as it was programmed, so this will not work. I found out about the problem when I ran games on the phone using Phone Link. Assuming that the PC is connected to the phone with Phone link On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:

• Calls = Enabled
• Audio = Not available

However, on the PC if you run Bluetooth Audio Receiver and open a connection to the phone then On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:

• Calls = Enabled
• Audio = Enabled

 

How can I disable the "Link your Phone and PC" notification in Windows 10?

The new "Continue on PC" feature that came with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update also includes a notification that pops up saying "Link your Phone and PC". Answering no or clearing the notification gets rid of it, but after some amount of time and/or a reboot, it continuously comes back.

Presumably, if you actually install the app to link your phone it will stop giving you the notification, and I am also aware that you can completely disable suggestion notifications; however, I do not wish to use the phone link feature and I would prefer not to disable all future suggestions, as I could possibly be interested in one of them. Is there a way to specifically disable a single specific suggestion notification?

Have you tried to run an app on your phone from Phone Link? When I do then the audio comes out of the phone instead of the PC speakers. To get the audio to come out of the PC speakers I had to use the Bluetooth Audio Receiver app from the Microsoft Store.
