Windows 10: Phone Link no sound through Laptop - Windows 11

I can make calls and receive calls through my laptop and my microphone works fine but I am getting no return audio. I have the correct speaker set up as default,I have all permissions allowed,I have Device type on my phone set to "Other" - not sure how much of a difference this will make!I do frequently have YouTube open on my laptop so not sure if this is interfering but I also have the same issue when I close that as well.

Phone Link sound to Phone's headset

I apologize for misunderstanding your question. In order to use Phone Link as a number dialer without redirecting the sound to your computer speakers, you can try the following steps:

Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.

Open Phone Link and click on the "Settings" icon.

Under the "General" tab, select your phone from the list of connected devices.

Under the "Audio" tab, make sure the "Audio redirection" option is unchecked. This will prevent Phone Link from redirecting the sound from your phone to your computer speakers.

Click "Save" to apply the changes.

Use Phone Link to dial the number on your phone by entering it into the dialer on the Phone Link interface.

This should allow you to use Phone Link as a number dialer without redirecting the sound to your computer. Note that you will need to keep your phone connected to your computer via USB for this to work

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
