Windows 10: Phone Link not working for Messaging or Calls

I Have an iPhone and am trying to set up my phone link and I have gotten it set up to the point that i am receiving notifications for everything however I cannot send messages, receive messages, or do anything relating to calls. All of my settings are on however when I go into Bluetooth on my iPhone to turn on the messaging and contacts information the option simply is not there. I can see the setting to toggle notifications but that is the only option available to me. Ive tried to re-pair it several times but always have the same issues.

Yes, the laptop is listed as a connected device. The basic connection/link appears intact.

That video must be old (it calls the PC app "Your Phone" rather than "Phone Link" for a start), and in the video at 01:44 the button is called "Open Settings on Phone" rather than "Send Notification", so the demonstration here seems to work a bit differently. Nonetheless, that shows the exact step in the process that doesn't work for me. All the stuff beforehand succeeds smoothly. All the stuff after that works fine too.

The information you've listed is:

• System version: Windows (10) Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.2604) - I try to keep this up-to-date
  
• Phone Link version: 1.22122.94.0
  
• Link to Windows version: 1.22122.147.0
  

The Microsoft store and the Phone Link app itself state there are no updates available and it is up-to-date. The Google Play store on the Galaxy S22 lists the Link to Windows app as being up-to-date also.

Windows Settings / Windows Update lists no major pending updates, apart from its usual annoying message about upgrading to Windows 11 which I do not yet wish to do.

It does seem to be only this particular function that is not working. I am even receiving WhatsApp messages on the Windows PC, but because the Messages "Send Notification" is not working, I am currently unable to receive traditional SMS/MMS messages. I can even screen cast successfully.

Edit: I have done followed all the suggestions on the troubleshooting page, and have even tried reinstalling both Phone Link and Link to Windows, without success.

Samsung Galaxy S10: Android 10 / OneUI 2.1

It worked fine using my Surface Pro 4 but on my new Surface Pro X the Ringtone and Call Quality through the Your Phone app are terrible: Constant crackling, tapping whatever you want to call it. Kind of like coins being dropped.

All other aspects of Your Phone work wonderfully.

I've tried:

Phone:

1. Bluetooth: Unpairing the Surface Pro X
2. Your Phone Companion App: Clearing Application Data/Cache

Surface Pro X:

1. Settings -> Bluetooth: Unpairing the phone
2. Settings -> Phone: Unlinking the phone
3. Settings -> Apps: Your Phone App: Repair and Reset

I then set it all up again which went through all fine.

I've also tried:

1. Device Manager -> All Bluetooth Drivers -> Update Driver
2. Paired a Bluetooth speaker to my Surface Pro X. This works fine.

I suspect the issue is related to the Your Phone App and Bluetooth but don't know where to check next?

Because the crackling noise seems to be bluetooth related.
