Phone Link with Android. How to simulate long press / long hold with mouse?

Hi, all! Just started using Phone Link for my Galaxy Android and so far so great, but am yet to figure out how to simulate long press / long hold with laptop mouse? So that I can bring up the "context menu" on whatever it is that I am "pressing down" on. Did some searches online in Bing and still cannot find the answer to this question :. I even tried holding down the left mouse button, but that did not do it. Right click doesn't do it either. Any one who's figured this out, please share. Thank you in advance and I hope there is an answer to this out there :!

    :)

  2. Simulate a long LEFT click on a windows 10 touchscreen

I have a program that I need to use a left click and hold option to get me to a menu screen and I can do this just fine with a mouse, but of course if I'm using the touchscreen a long hold just simulates a right click. Can someone please assist or find
a workaround for using the touch screen to simulate a long left click on the screen.

    Thanks!

Simulation of left-click press and holding on windows touchscreens

    Greetings,

Our developers noticed an issue when importing an older functionality to Windows 7/8.1/10. This seems to have been present in Windows for a long time now. Our application requires the user to press and hold buttons, without moving cursor, on the touchscreen.
However, we noticed that the press and hold cannot be performed, as the left-click is only detected when the user releases the touchscreen and the holding action is only detected on cursor movement.

It appears the windows touch driver cannot enable a click-on-press, which we need, and only handles click-on-release or click-and-move.

We have already disabled press and hold right-clicking and this did not solve the issue.

This is the same issue reported multiple times in the past, on multiple versions of windows, without resolution.

My question is: have any Microsoft users, developers or device driver developers been able to circumvent this?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Phone Link with Android. How to simulate long press / long hold with mouse?

How do I simulate press and holding a left mouse click with the Surface pro touch feature?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you’re trying to simulate a left-click-and-hold action using the touch or stylus with your Surface Pro 8. I am here to help and let's work on this together.

To simulate a left-click-and-hold action using the touch or stylus with the Surface Pro, you can try the following steps:

    1. Press and hold the item you want to move with your finger or stylus.
    2. While still holding the item, use another finger or stylus to tap on the screen with a different finger or stylus.
    3. Drag the item to the desired location.
    4. Release both fingers or styluses to complete the action.
Alternatively, you can try using the Pen and Touch settings in the Control Panel to adjust the touch-and-hold behavior. Here’s how:

    1. Open the Control Panel.
    2. Click on Hardware and Sound.
    3. Click on Pen and Touch.
    4. Click on the Touch tab.
    5. Click on Press and Hold.
    6. Click on Settings.
    7. Uncheck the box for Enable press and hold for right-clicking.
    8. Click on OK to save the changes.
This should allow you to use a touch-and-hold as if it were a left-click-and-hold.

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
