  1. Phone Link works fine but the File Explorer's sync with my phone is failed constantly

It does show my phones files but I don't know to when it's updated, if trying to add a new file the file won't appear on my phone and vice versaNotifications, photos and what not work seemingly fine on the Phone Link program tooI tried disconnecting and reconnecting my phone multiple times and tried spamming the "Refresh" button for the sync but it always says "Sync failed", ever since the feature was added. Is there anything to do?

My Phone Explorer will not connect

I think refresh file lists refers to the explorer-like representation of files in the MPE user interface, Files section. Try turning that off in Settings, Multi-sync. You could also try turning off sync photos for the time being just in the hope of establishing a baseline of what does work. It's in the same section as the file lists thing. And try connecting by USB so you can use File explorer to have a look at that DCIM folder. Which versions of MPE are you on - computer, phone? Denis

  3. Your Phone app not working

Perhaps this may be of help clearing up some confusion.

If you do a search for "Your Phone" via the Windows 10 start menu, the result takes you to the "Your Phone" app page, which gives you the options to connect/sync your computer to your phone. It is the settings on that page that I have struggled with, because they lead you nowhere, with no way to complete the process. At least, that is my experience.

But there is another choice in that also shows up farther down in the start menu "Your Phone" the search results called "Link your phone". It takes you to a different settings page titled "Your Phone", but gives you options not found on the Your Phone "app" page, including the ability to add a device, and most importantly, "unlink" your phone. This is the crucial step, which will lead you to the next step of re-linking your phone on your computer. You will come across a popup that displays a QR code (you will be asked to scan this QR code in a further step), and you will be asked to install the the Your Phone app on your phone (even if it is already installed), upon which it will then offer you to confirm the process by either scanning the QR code, or signing into Microsoft.

For me, for whatever reason, scanning the QR code did not work, but signing into Microsoft did complete the process.

Phone Link works fine but the File Explorer's sync with my phone is failed constantly

Cannot see phone files on computer

SOLVED. It was a well-hidden setting to change the USB type.

I have a new phone running Android Oreo. I have taken a few test photos and a couple of test videos. Some have been saved to the phone's internal storage and some to an SD Card.

I have connected the phone to a W10 computer using the USB cable supplied with the phone. Windows identifies the phone correctly and automatically installs the driver and the phone is then correctly listed in Explorer. If I click on the phone in Explorer, Windows displays a message "No files on this device" and consequently the file section of the Explorer window is empty. The phone displays that it is being charged from the USB port. Therefore it would seem that both Windows and the phone are reporting that the USB connection is working as expected.

My previous phone was a Windows phone and as expected the phone worked seamlessly with Windows computers. I am still finding my way around Android so I may have missed something obvious. The instruction in the phone User Guide is simply to "......connect the phone to the Windows computer using the supplied USB cable and after installing the drivers the files and folders on your phone will be accessible.....".

Well that does not seem to be quite correct....*Sad

    Thanks for any suggestions.
