Windows 10: Phone link works for calls but not regular audio?

Ive been used the phone link for a few months now and suddenly the audio won't play through my computer anymore. Phone calls work completely fine but if Im trying to play regular audio, it doesn't work anymore. I've gone into my bluetooth settings and I can see that the audio option isn't on but when I go to turn it on it just slides back over. I've gone through settings and made sure that audio should be playing through computer. Im using a Samsung s24 and an Hp laptop. Again calls work fine, there no issues there. Just the audio option.

I found out about the problem when I ran games on the phone using Phone Link. Assuming that the PC is connected to the phone with Phone link On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:

• Calls = Enabled
• Audio = Not available

However, on the PC if you run Bluetooth Audio Receiver and open a connection to the phone then On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:

• Calls = Enabled
• Audio = Enabled

This app allows you to make and receive calls from your PC, but it can sometimes run into problems. Here are some troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Your Phone and PC Connection:
   
   • Ensure that your phone and PC are properly connected via the Your Phone app. Sometimes, simply disconnecting and reconnecting can resolve temporary glitches.
     
2. Update Your Phone App and Windows 10:
   
   Make sure both the Your Phone app on your PC and the companion app on your phone are updated to the latest versions. Also, check for any pending Windows 10 updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and clicking on Check for updates.
   
3. Check Audio Settings in Your Phone App:
   
   Open the Your Phone app on your PC, go to Settings, and look for any audio settings related to calls. Make sure the correct audio devices are selected for both microphone and speaker.
   
4. Check Bluetooth Connection:
   
   • If you're using Bluetooth headphones or speakers, ensure they are properly connected to your PC and not just to your phone. Sometimes, Bluetooth audio devices can interfere with audio routing during calls.
     
5. Check Privacy Settings for Microphone:
   
   Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone on your PC and ensure that access to the microphone is allowed for the Your Phone app. If not, this could be preventing audio during calls.
   
6. Reinstall Your Phone App:
   
   • If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Your Phone app on your PC. This can fix issues caused by corrupt app data or installation errors.
     
7. Check for Interference from Other Software:
   
   • Sometimes, other software on your PC can interfere with the Your Phone app. This might include virtual audio devices, other communication apps, or security software. Try temporarily disabling or closing other software to see if this resolves the issue.
     
8. Use the Troubleshooter:
   
   Windows 10 has built-in troubleshooters that can sometimes identify and fix issues. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters, and run the troubleshooters for both Playing Audio and Incoming Connections.

phone link not working. Keeps cutting out on phone calls.

I tried the first thing you suggested but when I look at the list of installed apps, phone link was not listed. So I skipped that and went straight to the second thing you suggested and that worked. Thank you so much. Is it a problem that the phone link at is not appearing in my installed apps? I really appreciate you taking the time to help me.
