Windows 10: Photo and Photo Legacy apps are Unable to trim Xbox clips

I use the Photos app to quickly trim my many Xbox clips for my YouTube channel. Lately Xbox removed the console companion app and added multiple OneDrive download support. I then eventually linked the OneDrive app to the Windows Explorers app. Everything has been well until I went to download my more recent clips. I open a video file, trim the video to what I need, set the destination to the desktop and I get an error message saying "Unable to save There was an error while saving. Please try again later." Microoft Photos App - cannot save trimmed video clips anymore

I have windows 10 and have had no problems with trimming videos using the ms photo app until this week. The layout and screen is now totally different (smaller and less icons) to what it was a couple of weeks ago. I have tried to reset the app using advanced features, as well as selecting repair the app too. I have checked previous posts about this but the solutions are not working.

I only want to use the app to trim and save clips from video footage to process content videos.

Something has happened, possibly an update as everything was operating perfectly the other week.

I have also downloaded the older photo legacy app but the same fault occurs and the screen shows the golden spinning circle which stays on until i cancel and exit the program.

If I transfer the video files direct into my video editing software (PS elements) and trim them there the rendering time is increased to an unacceptable level, e.g 8 second clip 2 minutes...

Can anyone advise on how to get the photo app to start saving trimmed clips.

Photos app - trim a video - error

Hello, I am trying to use the built-in Windows 10 Photos app to trim a video. I have the video playing in the Photos app and click "Trim Video" at the top. I move the sliders to select the start and end points. I click "Save a copy" at top-right. The app says "It looks as though you don't have permissions to save changes to this file. Try saving a copy instead." Having just clicked "Save a copy", I am confused as to why this error message is appearing. I've tried copying the .mp4 to my VIDEOS folder on C: drive with the same result. Some research has suggested to run the Photos app as Administrator, but I can't figure out how to do that. Any suggestions on how to trim a video would be appreciated! Thanks,
