Windows 10: Photo app for windows ten question

I use the windows photo app to store my photos, but use another program for any editing that I doI just got an update on my own editing app and when I try use the "open with" in your system it leads me to my app but indicates I need to install the photo editing app that I use, which as I said, I don't use the windows photo app for editing.The photo editing app I do use, is definitely installedplease instruct me on why your windows photo app will not open my editing app as it has for several years.And what do I click to get your program to open my own editing appThank you

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage

  After open the Photos app, click on Settings and under Sources you have options to rename the folder.
  
• 
  Ensure to install any pending updates and restart the computer to check if that helps.

We suggest that you reset Windows Photo app. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Photo_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
• Delete all the contents of the folder.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
