Windows 10: Photo app update 2022 no view option

Since the most recent update to the photo app, while viewing pictures in a folder from picture to picture, on the top right you used to be able to view>properties. Now there is no View option. In order to see the properties you have to get out of this and right click on each picture to see the properties..so so unhelpful...a big step backwards. Is this an intentional change or hopefully an error in programming and it will be corrected soon?

The 'Photos' app for photo viewing has disappeared.

I do not understand this, when I returned to the PC later today my original settings had returned to the start screen, including one other tile which I had also lost but had not yet re-instated. Also the original list of 'All apps' had returned to the start
screen, including 'Photos'. There is nothing that I am aware of having done that should have caused the original disappearance of some apps from the 'All apps' list and their associated tiles, or that could have caused them to return.

It has therefore been unnecessary to follow your suggested steps, though I have done so anyway and it works as suggested. Note that I had followed your steps 1 & 2 earlier which is why I knew 'Photos' had not disappeared from the PC but was simply not
visible on the 'All apps' list and hence my inability to re-pin the tile.

Microsoft Photos Update June 2022

I checked the photo app on my computer and after it was updated in June (mine was updated on June 19th), I could still see the GPS information of the photo. Since there is no way to reverse the version of the app downloaded from Microsoft Store, I suggest you uninstall the Photos app and download it again through Microsoft Store to see the effect.

1. Click the Start button >Setting>Application
   
2. Enter "Photos" in the search box on the app page and open "Advanced Options". Click "Reset" the app
   
3. Open up the photos app open up the photos and see if you can see the GPS location.
   

If you can't view the GPS location after resetting the app, I think this is a BUG .

You may file a report in the Feedback Hub app and share your concern about this issue .Your feedbacks will be heard by the Windows team and we will consider improving Windows.

Replacement for photo viewer

I just use the Photos app for a quick view, otherwise I use Adobe Lightroom to view and edit photos.
