Windows 10: Photo app won’t let me choose /create HD folder

Photo app won’t let me select a local folder to import iPhone photos/videos too. I can choose an external HD, but the option to choose the PC itself it greyed out. I have already turned off the one drive settings.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps:

• Open Photos App.
• Click on Folders in the left pane.
• Click on Choose source folders for photos and videos.
• Under Sources click on Add folder.
• Choose the folder to add and click on Add this folder to pictures.

Folder won"t go away


I have a no longer used folder than I cannot delete. I have tried various third party apps to no avain. Any ideas how I can send this folder to "Never Never Land"

As per my research, we cannot directly import photos to an album in the Photos app. However, we can try the following steps to add the picture folder and then convert it into an album.

• Open the Photos app and click on
  Folders at the top.
  
• Click on Add a folder and choose the folder you want to add.
  
• Now, click on Albums, and choose
  Create an album.
  
• Add the folder you just created.
