Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done Photo management in One drive :) I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.

    Managing Photos

    Hi Sally,

Exporting photos through the Photos app isn't possible. If you want to export your photos to your hard drive, you need to open the location where the photos are located in File Explorer, and then copy it from there.

    Here's how:

    • Open File Explorer by clicking the folder icon on the taskbar or by pressing
      Windows+E
      .
    • By default, your photos are location in the Pictures folder. Otherwise, navigate to the correct location.
    • Select the photos that your want to export. I would suggest organizing your photos in folders. You can press
Ctrl+A to select all photos in a folder.
    • To export the photos, right-click on the selected files, select Send to from the context menu, and then select your drive. Another way to export the photos is to copy and paste. Select
Copy (Ctrl+C) from the context menu, right-click on an empty space in the drive, and then select
      Paste (Ctrl+V).

Should you need further assistance, let me know.
