Windows 10: Photo order in Phone Link

I've got a Sony Xperia One V which I've linked with my Windows 10 PC via the Phone Link app.Most of the features work relatively well... except for photos. The photos in Phone Link are shown completely out of order. And since the app doesn't show information about the photo like where it's located on the phone I cannot tell if this is because of different folders or anything like that.The gallery apps I've tried on the phone don't have this problem. They show the photos based on modified / created on dates, meaning the latest photos are at the top, as expected.Is there anything I can do to m

How to arrange the photos in the new Photos App in chronological order?

The new Microsoft Photos App does not arrange my photos for viewing in chronological order (like the legacy app did) and I do not see a way to sort the view.

• Iphone12 plugged in via USB.
  
• Photos are stored on the phone (not in the cloud).
  
• The new Photos App is 2023.11090.12017.0.
  

When I try to view my photos on the phone so I can download the ones that I want they are not in order. For example

• Image #s are listed 0891, 0823, 0824, 0706, 0878, 0908
  

How can I sort the view to list them in proper order?

• Image #s SHOULD BE listed 0908, 0891, 0878, 0824, 0823, 0706

is there a way to get my phone photos to show last one taken the first one to show? when i just go to the folders and click my phone it opens with the last photo at the top, but when i am sending an email and i go to upload a photo the photos show up in reverse order, so i have to scroll to the bottom to get the last photo taken.

most of the time itis the last photo taken that your need to send out in an email. i try properties but i do not see a way to rearrange them. even if i try to upload a photo from this site it does the same thing i click insert image then i click from computer then browse then the folders show up and i click on my phone and then internal storage and then dcim and camera and they start showing up, but in reverse order as i took them so i have to scroll all the way down to get the last photo.

so how can i make this so the last one taken is on the top of that list? thanks

Windows Photos Viewer is an oddity; as I suggested, find a free downloadable image viewer you like, and use that.

I use a program in building my family tree- it lets me use an external viewer- simply whatever is set as default. Here you can see it displays the image in Photoviewer. I imagine Vuescanner requires you to specify the path literally.
