Hello! Quick question for y'all. (Newbie as far as IT goes so sorry if my lingo's bad.)

The other day I downloaded the desktop version of Evernote, as well as the Cyberlink PhotoDirector desktop app. Today as I was looking in the program files of Evernote (Users>[username]>appdata>local>Programs>Evernote) looking for where files within Evernote are kept. As I was looking, I ran across a file named icudtl, some type of "video file". Curiously, I clicked on it, and up popped an ad for Photodirector!

This concerns me on a couple levels!

1: Why is Photo director storing files INSIDE the files of another app?

2: Is this normal for programs to... nest (for lack of a better term) like this?

3: Will I find other files like this? If so, are they malicious or is it harmless?

4: What can I do to stop this/find other files?

Hope this makes sense, and hopefully if somebody can shed some light on this for me, I'd love it.

    Curious File \"icudtl\"
