Windows 10: Photogallery Screen Display Changes

When using Photo Gallery, I cannot find a way to change the file directory structure or limit the photo files selected. Can anyone help me with this?

The suggestion that I download the Windows Essentials 2012 was not a success. It made my computer crash, I tried several times. Totally confused with all the extra 'add ons'.

However, I have now discovered that I can do all the scanning and cropping and saving using my scanner/printer. This takes place of the Photogallery application. So now sorted. Thank you for your offers of help. I still miss Photogallery though - such
an easy thing to use and far better than the Photos on Windows 10.

It is important that you have the correct screen display and resolution. We suggest that you perform the following steps to reset the monitor settings:

• Boot your computer in
  safe mode.
• Once in safe mode, right-click the desktop > Screen Resolution.
• Change the display settings back to the original configuration.
• Restart your computer.
