Windows 10: Photos and documents gone??

Discus and support Photos and documents gone?? in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; It appears after I updated my windows 10, I've lost all of my documents and years worth of photos from my PC's folders.     Photos and documents gone??


    It appears after I updated my windows 10, I've lost all of my documents and years worth of photos from my PC's folders. Any idea where to find them? I'm hopeful!

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to give permission for entire system, so that you can save the files in photos and documents.

    • Right click on the folder and click on properties.
    • Click on security tab and select the group\user name.
    • Click on edit option and check the option full control.
    • Click on apply and then on ok button.
    Now you can try saving the file in photos and documents and check if the issue persists.

    Photo app is gone

    @Lenoveo, it's actually named 'Photos' with an 's'. Is it really missing, or is it just the Tile on Start that's gone? Try typing photos in the Cortana/Search box next to Start and see if it finds it. If it does appear in the list you can right-click on it and 'Pin to Start' (or the taskbar). If it doesn't, try Brink's 'App reset' tutorial.
