Windows 10: Photos and short personal videos are blocked

Suddenly I’ve had an issue with my photos that are blocked and I cannot save my short videos in my file. Please help me to resolve it.

01/06/19 I am just an old lady who sends pictures back and forth to friends and relatives of my children and grandchildren. Now all of a sudden my photos are blocked and my short videos can no longer be "saved to" in my file. I'm not even sure what's
going on there--to downloads? How can I put things back like they were 2 days ago? This is awful for me. Thank you.

In regards to your concern, please help me with following questions:

1. Which application are you using for sharing photos and videos?

2. Was there changes made on the computer before the issue occurred?



You can try the following steps to restore the computer from a system restore point and check if that helps:

1. Select the
Start button, enter control panel, and then choose it from the list of results.

2. Enter
recovery in the Control Panel search box.

3. Select
Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.

4. Choose the most recent app, driver, or update on the list of results, and then select
Scan for affected programs. You'll see list of items that will be deleted if you remove this restore point. If you're OK with the deletions, select
Next > Finish. Or, if needed, select an earlier restore point before selecting
Next > Finish.

Also we request you to please help us with the screenshot of the issue that you are facing. Follow the steps mentioned in the

article posted by Shawn ‘Cmdr’ Keene on Oct 2, 2015 to post the screenshot.

Disclaimer: System Restore points are generated when you install a new app, driver, or Windows update, and when you create
a restore point manually. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made.

MP4 Personal Video files lag after August 2016 update (windows 10)

Hi Nicki,

Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

Try few of the troubleshooting steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run Video playback troubleshooter and check

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Video playback options from the list.
  
• Click Next to run the troubleshooter.

Step 2: I suggest you to copy the files from your computer to another working computer and check if you are able to access them.

This will let us know if the issue is with specific files types on your computer.
