Hello,I am completely stuck.A specific webpage caused my MS Photos app in my desktop to stop working, bringing up a file system error. This first happened on 24/1/24 US format: 1/24/24 for which I eventually undertook a system restoration, and it worked. The problem unfortunately re-emerged on 26/1/24 US: 1/26/24 when I loaded up the browser that had the page, which I had completely forgotten about, and my Photos app stopped working again, with file system error -2147219196. I have tried a range of options, including repair, reset, re-register, checked and removed corrupt files, and none of

  3. Microsoft Photos File System Error -2147219196

After installing the Windows 10 Update 1909 update, my Photos app automatically shuts down with the file system error -2147219196 whenever I try to open an image file. Similar threads
suggested resetting or repairing the Photos app or re-installing the app entirely but none worked for me. I will be glad to get any help.

    Thanks.

Wouldnt open photos; file system error (-2147219196)

Check out this link: File System Error (-2147219196) in Photos or Other Store Apps

You'll want to look at "Step 4: Uninstall Photos, Remove Leftover Files and Reinstall".

(when you're at the psexec part, you might receive an error about access being denied to some of the files in the photos app folder (happened to me), just ignore them and continue untill the end of STEP
    4).

When i first removed and reinstalled the photos app, it downloaded less than 100mb of data, and installed it.

With the steps, described in the above link, it downloaded over 300mb of data!

After install, the photos app is (for now) behaving as normal.

I'll keep you informed, should the problem return!
