    Photos App crashes, takes forever to load, and often opens to a black screen.


    As the subject says; the Photos app often takes a very long time to open even small .jpg files no larger than a few hundred kilobytes, and frequently the Photos app simply opens to a blank black screen. I thought I found a solution to this by just opening an instance of the app and leaving it running in the background, but then the more annoying problem arises: the app frequently closes itself for no discernible reason. It also occasionally crashes outright, leaving an error message.


    I have gone into the settings of the app and turned off absolutely everything, mostly because I just want a quick and easy photo previewing program, I really truly absolutely do not care for the bloatware that Photos is compared to Windows Photo Viewer. I double click a photo file to expand it beyond a tiny thumbnail so I can see it full in the screen. If I wanted to edit photos or videos, then hot damn I would use photo or video editing software, not some ****attempt at an integrated preview-editing-sharing steaming pile of garbage. Sorry for the rant, I'm just frustrated.


    I've tried the thousand-times prescribed 'fix' of resetting/repairing the app and restarting the computer. Doesn't work. I've even done a clean install of Windows, same issue. I've tried leaving all of the settings at default values, same issues.


    Is there any way to make this crApp work?
