Windows 10: Photos app desaturate my image if I open them directly

As explained in the title, I encountered this issue. In short:I have the photos app as my default image viewer.If I open an image directly from the file explorer, as soon as it open, it gets slightly desaturatedIf I open the app via the start menu for exemple and then navigate to my image, and open it, it look as it shouldYou can see what I mean on the photo below:On the left I open the app first, and the photo withing it.On the right, I opened the image directly in the file explorerThe only difference seems to be the source? I'm wondering if it's not a matter of permissions, maybe admin acc

Windows 10 Photo Viewer's desaturated colors

My laptop = HP Envy x360 convertible 15m xxxx (fully up to date)

I have been having the issue with desaturated colors in Windows 10.

The screen is calibrated. Photos in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop are correct. Photos displayed on websites i use are correct (i.e zenfolio). Printed photos are correct.

Windows 10 default photo viewer, image thumbnails and Windows 10 Instagram App(while uploading) are all desaturated.

I have searched numerous time for a solution and I have tried different ICC profiles, nothing has fixed this issue.

At this point it's more of an annoyance than anything. I am concerned however clients will open photo files and see desaturated photos.

This was never an issue on Win 7,8x.

Any help towards finding a solution would be greatly appreciated.

 

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

• On the Start menu, select Settings.
  
• Go to System, then go to Default apps.
  
• Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
  Photo viewer.

Microsoft photos app not showing up in Default app list. Jpg Pics opening in TWINUI

Hello,

I am getting an error "Class not Registered" while opening my JPEG images. I have right clicked and checked my available apps list to open JPEG file I could not find "Photos" app in that list. Instead TWINUI was set as a default app. How to disable TWINUI and
restore Microsoft Photos app to open my photos. I tried to find what TWINUI and thought of uninstalling it .But could not get any file or application named TWINUI in my system. I even tried to open Photos app directly from search bar it showed a dull colored
result where other apps are in regular color.

Any suggestion to reinstall the Photo App will be deeply appreciated.
