Windows 10: photos app...disappearing lower navigation and control bar

I've tried googling this problem and found a few other reports of the same problem but no solutions other than use legacy.

Video control bar disappears or doesn't appear when opening video file from Photos app.

I have a folder with photos and videos in my Windows 11 Pro laptop. When I open a picture with Photos app and navigate left or right and the next file happens to be a video, the control bar with video controls (sound, length, etc.) either disappears after a split second or doesn't appear at all.

However, if the video is the very first file I open with Photos app, the control bar works fine but only for the first opened file. If I go to another file by pressing an arrow and go back, control bar bug occurs.

 

The 'Photos' app for photo viewing has disappeared.

I do not understand this, when I returned to the PC later today my original settings had returned to the start screen, including one other tile which I had also lost but had not yet re-instated. Also the original list of 'All apps' had returned to the start
screen, including 'Photos'. There is nothing that I am aware of having done that should have caused the original disappearance of some apps from the 'All apps' list and their associated tiles, or that could have caused them to return.

It has therefore been unnecessary to follow your suggested steps, though I have done so anyway and it works as suggested. Note that I had followed your steps 1 & 2 earlier which is why I knew 'Photos' had not disappeared from the PC but was simply not
visible on the 'All apps' list and hence my inability to re-pin the tile.

Photos App Navigation Bar Interference

Just recently I began running into an annoyance with my Windows 10 Photos app. The Navigation bar at the top of the screen cannot be closed out anymore. For the longest time, all that was required was a simple click on the screen or a tap of the space
bar to close it out, but that no longer works. My entire PC as well as the individual app is up to date with updates, but I can no longer see photos at their full resolution without having to go full screen, which I shouldn't have to do. As a visual arts buff,
I usually have multiple windows of Photos open at once, and constantly having to full screen and exit is such an inconvenience versus how simple it was before. There's also nothing in the settings about the navigation bar, and I tried switching back to Windows
Photo Viewer but it's close to impossible and not even on the Microsoft store anymore. I just want a fix for my Photos app, maybe something is just wrong with it?
