Windows 10: Photos App HDR seems to be broken

Since the last update to the Photos app a few days ago Version 2024.11050.3002.0 the HDR doesn't seem to kick in anymore when i want to look at my .jxr files. This results in the pictures looking washed out as if looking at them from a non HDR monitor. I tried resetting, repairing and reinstalling the app to no avail. Downgrading to the previous version will make it work again though, which makes me believe that the HDR support got borked in the new version.Anyone else encountering this issue?

Broken HDR over display port 1.4

2. Were you able to use HDR, prior to this issue?
   
3. Was there any major change or update on your system, before which you were able to use the HDR option over display port 1.4?

N8 HDR photos?

new soft for iPhone 4 is allowing to take HDR photos so it is good idea to make app or something to allow shoot HDR photos on N8, with 12M camera it would be awesome.

I think someone from Nokia should think about this.

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
