  1. Photos App in Windows 11: - Why can't I see "Clarify" any more in photo adjustment options?

The Windows 10 and 11 app, "Photos" has been very effective for sharpening my photos, and a favorite app for this reason. Since the latest Windows 11 update, the option to sharpen, called "Clarify", has disappeared. I miss it so much that I asked for help in Windows Chat. I was advised to reinstall Windows. I went right through this lengthy process, and "Clarify" is still a missing option. Save has moved from bottom to top of screen. Straighten has appeared as a bar across bottom of screen. So, are these changes part of an update? Can I uninstall the "Photos" app that comes with Windows 11, an

I have downloaded this, and it did not work; photo viewer is not in the list of programs in Open With or Default App. I used option 2 step 3, followed by step 5 to 9.

  3. Photo App Crashes

OK, I tried this, and it worked! I used option 2, suboption 3. Photos is now working as it should...(it's still a crappy app, but it's working).

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

    Hello,

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

    • On the Start menu, select Settings.
    • Go to System, then go to Default apps.
    • Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
      Photo viewer.

Update us if the steps above helped you in resolving your concern.
