Windows 10: `Photos App on Surface Go keeps adding onedrive to the collection

The photos app keeps searching onedrive, even after repeatedly switching off to add to the collection. Because the process takes too long with wifi, the tablet hangs. I do not want the app to check onedrive.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

Photo App automatically add OneDrive Folder

Dear all,

The Photos app of Windows 10 Automatically adds Onedrive Location and start syncing OneDrive Pictures in Collection.

The Photos app add Custom Address of the OneDrive folder automatically i.e. "D:\Libraries\OneDrive\Pictures" then i remove it but after a restart of system the address is again added. (Below Screesnshot for easy reference)

I have unchecked "Show my Photos and Videos from One Drive (Cloud Only".

Can you please suggest another location from where it could be turn off permanenetly.

Windows 10 Photos Not Discovering Photos Outside OneDrive

While the photos in OneDrive are appearing in the Windows 10 Photos app, photos (JPG format) in another source I've added to the app's settings are not appearing in Collection. I can however right-click files in the folder and open in Photos just fine.

I've tried clicking Refresh, adding and removing the other source as well as rebooting multiple times.

Any tricks to forcing it to discover a source outside OneDrive?
